My recent visit to ASTRON with a bunch of Galaxy Zoo people was mentioned in their news magazine, which appears twice a year. And you can now easily share that news too.
Astron News is a colourful magazine about recent findings and everything else ASTRON has been up to the past six months. You can read the whole latest issue (which is in English) online. And apparently we weren’t the only VIPs who recently paid the Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy a visit, but here’s what they said about us:
“On 29 October, the famous Dutch school teacher Hanny van Arkel, who discovered Hanny’s Voorwerp, visited ASTRON with a delegation of twelve Galaxy Zoo members. During their visit, they went to the LOFAR field where they got a tour in the core area and to the other fields. At ASTRON they got a tour of the labs and the Dwingeloo telescope. The visit was concluded with hapjes and drankjes.”
And if you are on one of the following sites: Delicious, Digg, Facebook, Google, Reddit, Stumble upon, Technorati and/or Twitter, you can now easily share this news, and all my other stuff for that matter, as I now have the ‘bookmark it’ links at the bottom of every blog, like a few readers suggested.

“The visit was concluded with hapjes and drankjes”. Great!
Yeah, I thought the same. Mike recently sent me an e-mail, all English, except for the word ‘borrel’. Lovely.
