After the official part of this weekend, we ended up in the Royal Oak again, of course. Where we tried to catch up with everyone as much as we could. What we hadn’t seen before though, was this lovely painting of our dear Sir Patrick… I just had to take a picture of it! We sat in different corners and eventually had a bite to eat. In the first picture you can see Jules, Julianne and Els talking to Phil. The next one shows the one guy at this meeting who had never heard of my Voorwerp!
It had also been awhile since I actually spoke to Chris, so it was great to see him again. Especially since he said I’m always right. I can’t remember why he said it, but there you have it, haha. He was also one of the many people who asked why on earth I started doing an English course. In their minds, my English is even better than theirs, which is flattering, but not true. But I indeed passed my first exam without studying for it, so that’s a good start!
I will be properly studying the language soon and I will also stay in Blighty long enough to catch up with all these lovely people better than we can do in one weekend. We did end up doing the balcony scene the next morning and while I was waiting for neighbours Julianne and Els to appear (note Els showing off her t-shirt), I took a picture of the bees having sex on the window ledge. What can I say, I’m a biology teacher, birds and bees and stuff.
Anyway, there’s two more pictures of the familiar faces in the Head of the River pub, taken right before I had to fly back home for another week at school again. I love you guys and I’ll be back soon, ta!
