The last week in London…

The last week in this summer that is, as the next trip – my sixth this year – is already booked too! (Yeah, my calendar can hardly keep up with me). Anyway, for this last week, Steven joined me and as promised, I went to pick him up from the airport. We stayed at Annie’s, who’d only be there for the first evening. So we sat in the garden till well late that evening and wished her a good trip in the morning. This was when I saved the butterfly from her hallway. Fitzy was home though and we watched an interesting old movie with the movie star.

One of the many things Steven and I have in common is the love for dinosaurs and so we went to the National History Museum. Steven’s sister, who happens to live in England, came to join us, but as I wasn’t feeling very well, I left them earlier than planned. When Steven came back, he’d brought me a little stuffed T. rex (cute eh!) I also took him beachcombing along (a different path of) the Thames and we went to see my friend Katie Paine as Killer Queen in We Will Rock You together.

I’ve mentioned that show a couple of times now, but this is not to advertise it (again), this is just to show off really. Katie was wonderful and so was the rest of the cast! And I’m happy I went to see them in their 12th year too. So Steven and I had a great few days in literally hot and happening London. We also went for a stroll in Hyde Park and before we took the train and the ferry back, we went for lunch with Richard, Yvonne, Geoff and Todd in the pub which served their fish and chips on toast (!) and where I helped to save a girl’s life!

I do love my life. Back home we were expected at a wedding and I still had a few days left to catch up before the New School Year would start. It was a great summer, wasn’t it?!
