I have a couple of more pictures and anecdotes to share from the Astrofest weekend and I’ll post them over the next few days. In this one you can see a few of my friends at the event. In the first picture I’m posing with the lovely Brian, who told me about Farthings and the upcoming Queen tour (but I’ll let him share those details in due time). I told him about my upcoming lecture in Cambridge and about singing his Kissing Me song. He also took a picture of me with his stereo camera and I learned you need to look into the eyes of the photographer (not in one of the lenses). And I took one of his Diableries books with me, which is really cool! Then we both paid a visit to the SPA stand: see the last two pictures. I’m posing here with the lovely Mandy.
In the second picture you can see Steven and I catching up with our dear friend Graham, in between the lectures. Steven had looked forward to this trip and his very first (of many, I’m sure) Astrofest and it’s safe to say he enjoyed himself. I introduced him to some of my friends he hadn’t met yet and we met up with the ones who had already approved of my choice in men. There is also a picture of us sitting in the audience with Julianne and the picture following that, with my charming girlfriends, shows from left to right: Annie, Rona, Els and Christine. I shook hands with and said hi to many more people than these pictures show and I’d just like to say it was truly great to see you all!

Henny: yes, when uploading, my website treats the first picture differently and I sometimes forget. If you want the bigger versions of the others, you can just ask (they’re not all great quality though).

I wish I’d bought the Diableries book. I spent so long at the stand admiring how beautiful it is, I feel guilty I didn’t buy it! I’ll put that right soon
