Nature is awaking. A new year has really started and the Earth looks at its best. I love this season. It’s getting warmer and you can feel, see, smell and hear ‘spring is in the air’.
So here’s a few pictures to celebrate all the new life and to remind us how pretty everything growing on ‘our’ planet is…
I’ll start with this very important star though, as I couldn’t have written this without it. I like taking pictures of the Sun. Or actually, trying to do that. I keep wanting to walk a little further to see more of it. Like a moth to a flame, sort of.
And of all the nice flowers and plants around me lately, I especially like these two trees in my street. One covered in silky pink stuff – which the wind blows in my hair sometimes – and the other one with fresh green leafs. They seem to hug each other, I think.
I also feel lucky for living close to a pond with different kinds of ducks and geese. The last picture wasn’t taken by me though, but by one of my friends in London – Geoff Roynon. Aren’t they lovely?!
Today is a particularly good day for this post, as it’s (international) Earth Day. Greenpeace reminded me of that fact by sending me an e-mail with this video. And without saying much more about it, it’s an inspiring action indeed. You should see it.

I couldn’t agree more, spring is such a happy time and it is wonderful to see new life and growth. And the blossom is a delight too
