Is how long I’ve been awake, I think. It was a remarkable experience.
Middelburg is a lovely city. I have been shopping! My hotel room was as big is my living room. It was nice to meet the State Secretary and all the people arranging this. Watching the tour start on TV together was fun. I did see my bed for half an hour or so too. And then not hearing the alarm, which was supposed to go off at 2.30 am. The science centre was small and cozy. People were asking me organisational stuff (!). Everyone was tired, I guess. Vincent’s lecture was interesting and so was our discussion. I think I mentioned that Galaxy Zoo is an online science project. I was glad I did this before. When we came outside it was suddenly light. There were some zombies in the bus. And I watched the Sun come up. Lots of people were involved, from the local media circus as well, I think. It was a very laid back atmosphere. And we did think about Europe. And the Netherlands. And about science.
It was a remarkable experience.

Ha, “Hanny’s spacetelescope”, that’s a good one! Nice story Hanny, about you’re expercience in Middelburg, the place where it all started, back in 1608! Pity that Ustream.tv didn’t work properly, but alas the pictures above make it up all well.
Bedankt voor de leuke berichtjes jongens!
Graag gedaan!
