AstroFest 2013: After the Shows

These are the last few photos I have, taken almost at the end of this year’s event in London. It was lovely to catch up with Dr. Bri again and as he was showing me some pictures of cute animals on his phone, I asked about Ptolemy. Many of you have asked me what had happened to Sir Patrick’s little friend and I can tell you that he’s now taken care of very well at friends of Patrick, who were already cat owners themselves. Oh and I’ll have you all know that this charming King and Queen of hairstyles said he liked my hair too. So my life is pretty much complete now.

Here’s also a picture of me and Robin chatting, of Brian and Chris, and below the lovely Derek and his son and Max and Bri. It was also great to finally meet Jamie (photographer of the heavens) and although I can’t mention everyone, I am thankful again to all for the grant times. I’d see Brian (Cox) again later by the way, but on the telly this time – which was a first for me. I watched his Wonders of Life at Geoff’s, which covered the first chapter I learned on my biology course. It’s a great show! I kept hearing Jon’s version of Brian’s voice in my head though…

After I had congratulated Jon with his great performance earlier and we were chatting, he suddenly had changed into someone else, as he does, leaving me teary-eyed from laughter that time. Anyway. We also watched the latest episode of the Sky at Night that evening (and I thought again of moving to England so I’d never have to miss these programmes). They had recorded it in Greenwich and as you can see the green meridian line from Geoff’s house, it was all a bit surreal… Yeah, there were many fun moments to think back of on the train home, as I saw the daylight disappear. See ya next year!
