The organisers of Pecha Kucha Maastricht have been asking me to come to their event and present ‘my story’ (in exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds) for a couple of months now and funnily enough, when they asked me for a last-minute date, our calendars matched!
I’ve already practised it in Dutch, while I was in Amsterdam (I still owe you some pictures), but tomorrow, 20 October, I’ll be doing it in English, in Liège. The organisers are Dutch though and I had to explain to them that even if I’m doing the talk in English, ‘Voorwerp’ shouldn’t be translated to ‘object’ – it’s an English name and English people know!
The idea behind the 20 x 20 seconds is that you’re going to be well-informed about a new idea, without having to listen to a long story. And because of this format, you’ll be exposed to a couple of new ideas on one evening and you can just look up the things you like later. So here’s the line-up. See you there?
